Add to Doc is a feature that will allow the addition of pages to a document that was saved earlier today, or is in Pending. Saved documents are pushed to DMS/iDS every night, where Pending documents are not pushed. If pages are added to a document that was saved yesterday, those additional documents will not be pushed, as the document has already been sent to DMS/iDS and is waiting for confirmation.
To add additional documents to a Pending document, or a document that was saved earlier today, follow these steps.
Open CDP Manage, click Document > New.
Click Scan up top to scan in the document.
Once it is scanned in, click the Add to Doc button.
This will pull up a search window, where a search can be performed between saved and pending documents.
If a page, or set of pages needs to be attached to a document that was saved today, select “All Documents,” enter the member number or member name and click Search. This will display all of the saved documents for that member number or name in the right hand pane. If a page or set of pages needs to be attached to a Pending document, just click the Pending check box, enter the member number or member name and click Search. This will display all of the Pending documents, for that member number or member name in the right hand pane.
Once the document is located, simply click on it to select it, and click OK. For documents that were saved earlier today, it will create a second PDF and attach it to the previously saved document. For a Pending document, it will add the pages to the end of the Pending document.
Steps Specific to Adding to a Document in DMS/iDS:
First, locate the document in DMS/iDS and write down the Document ID number.
Launch CDP Manage manually from the program menu or desktop. Once CDP Manage is launched, Select Document > NEW. A new window will now appear. Scan in the additional document using the procedure above. Once the documents are scanned in, Click Type and select the indexing criteria. Additionally, fill in the DMSDocID number that was retrieved from DMS/iDS, along with the other indexing information.
Because this is a scan, it will not auto-populate the indexing information. Entering in the DMSDocID number is what actually attaches the scanned document to the document that is in DMS/iDS already.
